If you receive EBT, Medicaid, SNAP or other assistance

Amazon offers a reduced-price membership to recipients of qualifying government assistance and to income-verified customers: $6.99/month instead of $14.99/month, checked 2026-10-03 on Amazon's own fee page. That is the same membership, and there is a 30 days trial. Eligibility is verified by Amazon on their page, not here.

First, the eligibility question

Amazon decides who qualifies. Their page describes the plan as being for EBT, Medicaid, SNAP and other select government-assistance recipients, and also mentions income-verified customers. We will not guess your circumstances: start at Amazon's eligibility page and let them tell you. If you do not qualify, the standard plan is $14.99/month — and if you are 18–24 or a student, the reduced-price plan for younger adults is $7.49/month.

New members can try the membership free for 30 days days. After the trial, it renews at $14.99/month unless you cancel.

Limited-time offer, checked 2026-10-03. Terms can change without notice; confirm on the plan page.

Then the arithmetic

Amazon lists this plan at a monthly price; there is no separate annual price to compare.
$35.00 per order is where free delivery starts without a membership, at 5–8 days.

Worked examples

1. Two small orders a month

Two orders at $3.50 each = $7.00/month of shipping you would otherwise pay, against $6.99/month: 1 cent a month ahead. At this price the membership is nearly self-funding on delivery alone — two small orders a month is the whole break-even.

2. One small order a month plus a streaming swap

$3.50 of shipping plus the $8.99 standalone video price = $12.49/month against $6.99/month: $5.50/month ahead. One substituted subscription carries the fee three times over at this price.

Who should NOT get this

Questions we get

What documents does Amazon want?

Their eligibility page walks through it. We do not collect, ask for, or see any of that; this site has no forms and stores nothing.

Is there a free trial?

Amazon advertises a 30 days free trial for this plan, checked 2026-10-03. It converts to a paid membership automatically when it ends.

Which price applies if I qualify for more than one discount?

That is a question for Amazon's plan pages: discounts do not stack into a free membership, and we will not guess at their rules.

Is this on your site's own authority?

No. Eligibility, price and terms are Amazon's; every figure here carries the date we read it and links to the page we read. An independent site. Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Amazon.com, Inc., Chase, or JPMorgan Chase & Co.
